Do you still have the restrictor in the hydraulics. If so, you will probably celebrate a clutch roast during every run.

...What's that smell?...

I would think that a lot of theses guys getting 1.6 or 1.8 have fried the stock clutch long ago and have already replaced it.

Last year I pulled a 1.7 on the stocker. 20k miles now and zero problems. It's possible, dunno how many times I'd advise doing it safely though.

Those numbers are really accomplished by slipping, I'd more call it dumping!

I pulled 3 1.7s in a row on my stock clutch last year. Hopefully I can go pull some 1.65s on it at the end of the month. It's almost dead though. I smoked it good when I first got the car about 10 months ago and I think that shortened the life considerably. I have 9K miles.

stock my car ran 13.7 @ 100mph with 1.9 60foot, rev it just a tad below 5000rpm slip the clutch quickly ( dont dump it, coz u ll bog) and u should have a very smooth take off, this is the best way i found so far that s easy on the tranny and clutch. with a 60' of 1.9-1.8 u can acheive great time without destroying transfer case and other tranny components.

thanks for the feedback I think I will just race to see if the mod has changed the car and not try for a fast time ie baby it of the line. so anything faster than a 14.5 at 100. is a inprovement.Thats with a 2.5 60ft stoplight start.
