Price of P0300 ECU reflash?

The dealer in my area said it was $92 for the P0300 misfire ECU reflash. I was expecting alot more since Mitsu dealers love to rape customers on prices. Is this a good price?

Does the P0300 reflash work?

Their mechanic did a visual inspection and saw the boost controller and said the warranty was already voided. My molding is coming off and to see if that is under warranty, they want me to bring the car in and have the mechanic inspect it, write everything down, and send it to Mitsu where they will review it and see what will apply.

So since the P0300 reflash is not under warranty what has ppl paid for it?

Bullsh1t - They cannot deny a recall if your warrenty is "void" (it is a recall, right?). Besides, the part which "voids" the warrenty only "voids" the warrenty on the system directly affected by the part in question. i.e. If you have a intake on your car, it won't void the warrenty on your brakes. Just like if you installed a MBC and your molding if failing, they can't deny the warrenty based on the MBC.

No its not a recall, its a TSB (technical service bulletin). A TSB is a known fix for a concern posted by Mitsubishi.

You should not have to pay for a reflash if you are under warranty still. I've taken my car in several times, been flashed, even got a new transmission, all under warranty for p0300.

Is your car stock?

Thats the thing, since because of my mods, my warranty is void. So has anyone that does have a voided warranty, how much did u pay for the P0300 reflash?

The dealer is Cannon Mistubishi in Lakeland, FL.

^ i think the dealer is playing with you. I suggest going to another dealer and telling them you an SES and you feel misfires while driving (part throttle @ ~3000rpm i think??).

To deny a warrenty over mods that are unproven to be the failure of something going bad is WRONG!

There's another thread about the P0300 stuff, it's up to like 415 posts. Check it out - maybe just the last 3-4 pages for the recent stuff.

YES - it should be free. Don't pay a dime for anything.
NO - it does not work 100% of the time. It has helped some people, but not all. I got it, and it didn't fix my problem. 36 miles later I threw it again with the vibration. I think it might do it less, but that's not really good.

What is SES? Also I have the S-AFC hooked up to the ECU should this be unhooked when they reflash, or does it matter?

A warranty can not be just simply "void". Each and every item that you install aftermarket needs to be directly related to the problem. Since there is a TSB out there that explains this is a common problem with ALL Evo's (With boost controllers or not) it has nothing to do with the boost controller, therefore, they need to fix it under warranty. I love Stealers.
