Aluminum Driveshaft?

http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...93&prmenbr=361

When is someone going to make one in this price range?

Is this mod good enough to justify a $750 price tag?

Driveshaft Shop in Long Island offers an aluminum driveshaft that is about 10 lbs. lighter than stock.

Frank at the Driveshaft Shop is the only person to buy a custom driveshaft from.

Would love a custom driveshaft from these guys:

http://www.acpt.com/driveshaft/index.html

they used to have prices on their site but i think they took em down. If i remember right, a CF driveshaft for a 2g dsm was like $900 if i remember right.
I'm sure an evo would be a similar setup.

a couple cars that i know had one, were the silver 2g that RRE prepped for the uscc & dennis grant from far north racing has one too. i'm sure there's many more out there, but those are both high abuse/high stress cars and the driveshaft is definatly holding up to the punishment, and weighs like 25lbs less...that's a $#!tload of rotating mass off the driveline.

it's on my list of future mods...

I'd love to run a carbon drive shaft... there are many benifits over steel or aluminum.

Are you planning swapping your two shafts with the center pilot bearing with a single shaft?
Denney's will make whatever you want. If you are going for light only, make one piece, if you want to stay semi-stock, you will need two shafts made.
Good luck!
