ACT MB7-HDSS Street clutch or stock clutch?
ACT MB7-HDSS Street clutch or stock clutch?
my car is 95% stock (lowered and has 18" wheels). I doubt i will ever do any engine mods. I currently have 17k miles and my clutch is slipping.....
Do i want to get the ACT MB7-HDSS Street clutch or just get a stock clutch?
Any problems with anyone's ACT? i want to be able to sell the car (possibly) in the next year, so I don't want a noisy clutch.
Where is the best price on the ACT MB7-HDSS clutch?
I called somewhere in NY, but I can't remember who it was....i think it was under $500 delivered.
thanks

My clutch started slipping at 17k and i got the HDSS...the difference in pedal feel is day and night. The ACT makes much better use of your power, since it holds better than stock. If you're gonna get a new clutch don't get stock, cuz in another 17k you know where you'll be.
I got mine from prostreet a few months back. No fool'in, even my wife says what a diff. Lock up, feel, every thing is much better... no noise at all and only a slight difference in pedal effort. It does take a few hundred miles to break it in but even out of the box it perfoms well. btw prostreet ships the day you order if you contacct them before noon pacific time... just like they advertise...thanks Alex "you da man."

i really like my act. few things, like when the weathers cold or your transmission is cold, it'll chatter (on my car, some don't do it), the engagement and disengagement point is sorta hard to pin point when adjusting it.
for some reason whenever I disengage at say 4000 rpm, the car feels like it's double disengaging, rocks back and forth.
If you have 17k, stock and your clutch is slipping, you could probably have that taken care by the dealership.
