Exclamation Any Evo owners using a "Turbo Scrambler"...?

It's a on-the-fly boost controller. Pretty much when you driving you just press this button (where ever you mount, a good place is the steering wheel) and you can increase boost on the FLY (some people set one click = 10hp, which 5clicks - 50hp instantly). Only bad thing about it is, you can risk blowing up your engine, pushing the turbo to increase more air while it's spooling. I have a friend who has an evo, but he doesnt have internet access, who want's to know more info or sites.

If you get the GReddy boost controller w/ the display I'm sure you could rig up something like this. I know it comes with a remote so you could just mount it to the steering wheel or something. Right?

^^^ probably so.

I know it's a japanese product. Just wanted to see if any evo owners heard of it? Pretty cool product, just the fact if you scramble to much... BOOM engine!

Sounds like a NOS button!

My Blitz SBC-ID boost controller has a scramble option, but thats different. It basically goes for higher boost once the turbo spools and then reduces to the wanted boost level at higher RPMS.. its used to get higher boost initially and not damage your turbo with high boost @ high RPM..

The HKS EVC has this feature, it’s also possible to connect an optional button to place where ever you like. I had one of these on my previous EVO6 but I never got the separate button. However it only had two levels, as in you could only shift between scramble and standard setting with the button. So if you tap the button it would just switch between the two modes and not increase the boost at every tap.

I’m actually planning to do a similar thing with my Motec stand alone this spring. I’ll be connecting another 2-way flip switch like the one I already have for the anti lag system. This will be like a high and low switch where the high mode would be tuned to max out all that is possible to get out of the engine for maybe 20 sec or so. The low mode will be tuned to give as much as possible in a continuous running like WOT on the high way or at a track.

Of course the high setting will only be used when necessary and with a close eye on the EGT.
