Downpipes for the Evo MR

Does any body know which downpipe is a good fit for the Evo MR because the 6 speed transfer case is just a little longer (bigger) than the 5 speed transfer case?

Which Vendor?
Pics?
Dyno Charts?

Selling
Perrin DownPipe (Make Offer)
Perrin Catback Exhaust (Make Offer)

I only had it on the car for 3 days. I contacted Perrin and they said to use a deadblow hammer or mallet to put a dimple where the transfer case is rubbing or send it back and they will do it. I prefer to not have to make any modifications to the downpipe. I'll post pics soon.

The WORKS DPs were originally engineered to work with both the EVO VII and VIII. Therefore, they have always fit MR as well

Question

Jamie

Thanks for the response. I'll be sure to take a look at the the WORKS downpipe. I'll give you a call.

Besides WORKS is there any other downpipes made specifically for the Evo MR?

I have heard the DC Sports Downpipe fits fine, you only have to get a cel fix put on since it has a cat delete.

Or they could have just made it right to begin with instead of giving you Conan the Barbarian instructions of banging on it to fit right.

As far as fitment is concerned, I have been running the RS*R downpipe with cat delete since day one with no headaches. It even comes with washers and longer bolts for the underbrace bars since the 80mm piping will not clear the stock setting of the front bar.

The WORKS 70mm and 76mm downpipes are ceramic coated to prevent heat from transferring to the oil pan and transfer case while keeping the exhaust gas velocity higher.
