1G BOV and venting

Maybe a dumb question but, can you vent the 1G BOV?

Sure. VTA symptoms will apply, as with any VTA BOV on a MAF based system.

You could vent any type of BOV. Same problem will happen with any of them. Get a solution to removing the MAF and by a Tial. That IMO is the best solution.
