noob question - re: MBC, SAFC

1. guys i got a noobie question. i have been doing searches, and just cant find any thread about a description about it. i have an evo MR, with a upcomming stage 1 buschur. i was wondering what is the main point of having a MBC? i am already boosting 1.5 bar stock, and i dont think i should go further. so what is the point of MR owners getting a MBC?

2. how about oil changes. i heard abt people having their oil change for the first 1,000 miles, makes the car engine last longer and have a little bit more power. i have 1,800 on the MR and never changed the oil yet. just wanna see some comments about it before changing the oil soon.

3. i havent done a search on this yet, but it might be almsot the same with the MBC. what is a super AFC for? i tried to look for the description and it says that it just makes your engine tuned for perfection.

thanks guys for the input. i did some searches, but i just cant understand. cant wait to get my stage 1 installed by next week.

Im not famialiar with the MR so perhaps Im a noob when it comes to that. So I ask you, does your boost hold all the way to redline or does it taper as you reach redline?

A mbc would def. be a good power gain mod. That that your really have to turn you boost up past where you are but it will hold the boost better. A AFC is a air/fuel piggy back system that allows you to manipulate how much fuel and air you are giving your car. I would recommend getting both. Besides the afc there are other options like the flash, standalone ect. I went went the afc myself cause i like to always add something new which the afc i can play w/ w/e. And to give advice on the oil ? I have never really heard that. I know with running synteic its spose to last longer 5,000 compared to 3,000 but i still change mine every 3. Some1 ealse will have to let you know if it gives you more power and the life. I dont think it would do anything except a little more cleaner. Just my 02 Eric

1. so mbc means that i will be boosting more than 1.5bar? coz i know thats gonna mess up the engine..

2. i still dont get the safc. is it almost the same thing as having a flash, but a flash would be a one time ecu flash, where the safc u can change over time.

Yes, the flash is a more wide range of things like raises the rev limiter and takes away fuel cut and more that i dunno about ask dynoflash. the afc just deals with air and fuel. Either way is good. A mbc is safe used correctly look around allmost every1 used one you dont have to raise the boost keep it stock it will just hold it better w/out tampering off. I have 2 for sell if interested. Eric
