I found this stuff that is called lakewood SAE 90 hypoid gear oil. They sell it at advanced auto parts, and a speed shop here locally called SECO performance. Im trying to find a good oil for my transfer case, and i dont want to use a mixed weight oil. Thsi is the only stuff that ive found locally that is 90 weight and doesnt come in 1 gallon quantities. It looks pretty good, the only problem is i cant find ANY information about it. I cant find an API rating for it, so i have no idea if it's a GL4 rated oil or not.

So far this looks like the best info ive gotten.
It says that red label isnt for clutch type LSD but they yellow label IS good for clutch type LSD.

The evo is clutch type lsd right?

Get NeoSynthetic Oil. Trust Me...

 

The center LSD in the Evo is not cluthc type, it's viscous. And make sure whatever oil you buy is the right GL rating, that is the MOST important thing.

 

i dont see an SAE 90 gear oil from neo.
