heard of direct hits spark plugs?

What are your thoughts on these. On Dsport mag they tested it and gain 10 hp on the dyno with a Civic.

What a bunch of BS. 500 amps of spark power. LMFAO
It would burn the tip right off the plug.
Regardless you aren't going to get to try them. Evos are coil on plug and looking at those pictures you'll never get the coil back on.

The instructions call for resetting the ECU which could be responsible for most of the reported power gain. The supporting tech articles are not very good either.
If I need better spark I'll go with Buschurs coil on plug conversion or the HKS DLI 2.
There are only 2 plug wires. 2 of the coils sit over the plugs and have a boot on the bottom side of the coil. That was my point.
Edit: Oh and the coils are 1&4 and 2&3.

You would likely have to run the shorter plug boots for the coils from a 2.0 standard lancer to get these to fit on an Evo..
These devices are basically capacitors, so they do work... Somewhat.. the problem is your still at the limit of the quality of your current ignition system.
FWIW the Lancer and evolution and most of the 2.0 4G series engines with dual coil waste spark systems share the SAME EXACT COIL, only the boot and plug wires differ..
These are probably NOT worth the money.. if you want to run them, you might have to run that nology setup that moves the coils to a bracket and runs wires to the plugs if the 2.0 standard lancer plug boots are still too long..

I don't see how these can truely be effective. Most DIS systems are already capable of 80,000 volts with a decent amperage. If you need these then I would think you need to upgrade the ignition system and not try to patch it.
I've had MSD and am all for it in the right application. This is effectively a passive CDI attempt that IMHO is just not as effective or worth it.
