clutch malfunction

at 28,000 i replaced my stock clutch. swapped in the exedy single without the clutch extender rod. it had awesome launching power, i'm now at 56,000 and the clutch is slipping. everyone in my area is going with ACT clutches, does anyone know if the hold up as well or better than the exedy clutches. im ready to buy but now im having second thoughts due to the exedy only lasting 28,000 miles. any help would be greatly appreciated.
