Better powerband

Can I get the engine to pull as hard as it does in the midrange all the way to redline with an SAFC and MBC? If not, what is needed?

Exhaust, test pipe, cat-back, and intake(air filter). Tune it right and you'll pull like a M.F.'er.

Would a flash from DynoFlash do the trick also?

a flash from TurboTrix would help more. You still need a boost controller though and it will hold until redline.

Unless you know a lot about tuning, otherwise it's best to let the experts do it. I'm currently running a mail-in Dynoflash with additional fine-tuning with SAFC-II. The car pulls quite hard all the way to redline.

It's not hard. You just need a logger.

CAMS! Intake, 3' exhaust, boost controller, get dyno tuned.

If I were to do my evo over again, Cams would have been the first thing to throw in, instead of the last.

did anyone mention cams on here yet? I have a TB exhaust and just installed cams, pulls nicely now up to 7k instead of the usual 5500 rpm drop off. I need a tune badly, but thats getting done in less than a month and then it should really pull like a freight train.

sort out the breathing. get the ECU sorted (run it less rich at the top), fit cams (as everyone seem to say that these work), but most important get the thing set up right!!!!!!

with the right map (done on a dyno and set up for YOUR engine not someone elses) you will see good gains on a stock car.

thanks Chris.
