Yes the ACT is stiffer but my wife who is 53yrs old 5"4" 135lb.s (if she sees this I'm toast) and has no problems with the pedal effort. Anyway, if "Granny" can handle it need I say more?

My friend just installed the ACT street disc. It seems like the engagement is far more positive and has a robust feel to it. You can still slip it a bit for smoother off-the-line acceleration. I like the feel very much.

If you're concerned about excessive pedal effort, consider Exedy Twin Plate. It's just about as heavy as stock and comes with a lightened flywheel.
