EDIT: Went back and read the rest of the thread. Yeah. Hehehe. Nuff said.
Ok, worst clutch install I've ever done in a home garage on jack stands... point taken, yall told me told me so...
I've got pic's of my CM stage 3, and will post them up as soon as I get some rest...

I had a Clutch Master's 2500 go out in my Eclipse in about 7,000 miles and it was well after the 90 days. They were great and replaced it with a 4 puck, so I got upgraded too. I wish all manufacturers stood behind their products like that!

No, my hard head used an engine hoist to get it in the air, then I got under it and bench pressed it into position. It was just being hard headed about lining up.
I'm on my way out of state, so the pics will have to wait...

Looking at the photos of the broken disk components, there appears to be a stress fracture. I am thinking improper heat treatement or metal fatigue due to flex forces concentrated on one area.
Now on a lighter note. When Zeus gets back we can get his unbiased opinion on his set up. I think he dropped that trans on his head and it knocked some sense into him. Zeus' method reminds me of when my brother in law (all league defense end) used to "bench press" my trannies while I twisted and tuned things to get the splines to mate. Now the last time I did a clutch job was in 1993 on my son's CRX. I just use my floor jack with a wooden cradle (it's easy to make one).

I was there though the whole ordeal, it was good times
Think we both walked away some permanent scars. Seems as though we should put on a spot of tea the next time and break out the doilies, maybe if we wish hard enough the magical garage gnomes will do the work for us... Nah, think I'll keep getting my hands dirty
