Point taken, However when your clutch goes in the next few thousand miles you might change your opnion. This is my first car with a clutch, however I dident just learn how to drive stick. List any pointers or tips, or let me take you for a ride and tell me what I am doing wrong.

Yeah my first car was a stick but that was a cable clutch and it was 5 years ago so I was a little rusty but I dont think i was that bad. I still haven't stalled and my dad said i was doin fine when he rode with me a week after i got it.

But i'm all up for some tips on how to be better.

Are you launching it? If so from what RPM?

PS - Mine has 30K on it on the stock clutch with some launches and a few "burnt clutch launches" still running strong

Tips are don't ride the clutch when you take off from a redlight, yes, it may be smoother but its burning the clutch.

And i have been expecting mine to go out any day from the way everyone talks, but i have been launching the **** out of the car since it had 4k miles on it and no problems yet.

you can't go by RPM, just get off the clutch as fast as possible. taking off too much like a grandma is what will burn them up.

So at stop signs and stop lights let the clutch out faster than I have been. I'll try. I it might be a little jerky. I'll take one of the local EVO guies at the next meet and see what they say. Like I stated I think I am driving just fine. But from the other posts mine should have lasted longer. Those with high miles on original clutch, are they highway miles?

I have 80K on my stock clutch. I drive mostly highway though. Lately its starting to get a bit grabby when moving from a stop. No slippage yet though. I drive it hard but high rpm launches are not allowed here! I get it rolling first then I beat it!
