what is causing my RPMs to DIP?

ok so I thought it was my greddy type-s but i screwed with the screw all day today with diffrent turn settings. I have now also put teflon tape on the screw just to make sure I wasn't having a slight leak from the screw, I tried vaccum capping the open port, I have tried it with out, I have not tried running it to the TB... my list of mods are in my signature... I dont think its the type-s anymore... its recirculate as well....

I'm starting to think it might have to do with the intake.... i have a cf hood with no guard on it... too much air maybe...

I guess I should explain the dip i go to 500RPM where I just about stall then it just back up to 800rmp when i put the clutch in from above 3rd gear rpm levels... so basicly high rpm level and then push the clutch in at about 3 or 4k and it dip when coming to a stop....

any help appricated.... I dont have a tuned ecu or a afc yet? too much fuel too little maybe i dunno....

I had this problem from day one with my 03, and I haven't seen it yet on my 05. I did notice it wasn't as bad after swapping out spark plugs...

I don't understand what you mean by dip? Is the car about to stall unless you give it gas? I don't think I'm the only one confused.

sound to me like you have some unmetered air getting into the engine. somewhere past the maf sensor. could be a vacuum leak but if it dips and picks up and stays then doesn't sound like one. check all you hose clamps and if anything pressure test your system. good luck.

try putting a piece of duct tape long ways on the bottom of your filter, running from like the top to the bottom of the filter. See if that helps. The car might be pulling in the air TOO clean for the MAF to read it right. The tape will turbulate the air a bit.

maybe in your case its the intake. If your up to it, swap it out with the stock intake, and see if it solves your problem. I had the same problem your explaining when i installed a jdm mr dv, had to swap it for the stocker. Are you tuned by any chance?

its either the bov, or the intake. If you get some kind of mail in flash it will probably solve your problem, and get you a few more ponys. Of your could just swap either one with stock parts till the problem is solved.
