Have you replaced your clutch yet? That's probably the only thing holding me back from cranking the boost and getting a good launch. If I do go, we'll probably bring the trailer just in case! :P

Xede with Xflash, dump-back exhaust with race pipe, Hks 264/272 cams and cam gears, Greddy type s bov, AMS intercooler with lower IC pipe, 10.5 16g turbo, Cusco twin disk clutch.

Also, Walbro fuel pump and ARP head studs.

Clutch replaced I went with the ACT street disk. Nice clutch, but I do not push the car to hard at the track. I lost a transfercase a few months back. 1.8 60' are fine with me. I keep the boost at 20-21. How high are you running your boost?

Nice, those r some good mods. Sorry to go off topic, but did u get the 10.5 turbo from Buschur Racing? Also, how much hp do u think u gained off of the turbo alone? Thanks!

I'm willing to bet Smoggie didn't get his 10.5 turbo form Buschur

That turbo doesn't add wild power on the top end, but it does improve midrange torque production. Maybe 5-10 peak HP and 15-20 lb-ft in the midrange. Numbers for gains are flying around everywhere, but that's what I've heard.

SuperH,
Actually, I like Dave Buschur. In fact, most of the evo tuners are eccentrics in some way or another, and every shop I've visited has its own distinct "flavor."

I got my 10.5 16G from Andrew at Dyno4mance. I put it in at the same time with a new intercooler. With the two mods, I gained about 18whp on race gas, and a whopping 36ft lbs torque.

On 91, 275/252 became 303whp/280torque. So 28 hp gain and 28 torque gained.

NOW, BACK ON TOPIC...

On a Dynojet my car made 372 whp and 356 torque.
That's encouraging, as I should now be able to at least match that E.T....and that makes me happy.

If you look at watchout and my dynos and time/mph, you can see a definite pattern. I think the orignial posts' question has been pretty well answered.

Well I stand corrected... looks like I should be eating a big slice of humble-pie... But I was right, you didn't get it from Buschur

I wonder how much of your power gained was from the IC and how much was from the hotside? It's tough to tell... Did you add your lower intercooler pipe at the same time as well? There are rumors that that's worth a few HP too.

350 might be a little light. It would take inssane driving to do it with 350 awhp. Most guys in that 350 range will run low 12's.

All you gotta do is take out a little weight w/ 350whp and you will be knocking on the 11's door.
