GSC 272in\264ex w/Cam gears

I'm going to do this mod soon. I have a pair of AEM cam gears. What settings should I put adjust the cam gears to get the most power on average. I will have XEDE on the car when I do it.

Why run cam gears, alot of people are running this combo so they dont have to use cam gears. Or are you just trying for that extra few hp? I could understand that too.

Trying to get all I can get out of them. Youjust hate to go that far, to have not done cam gears is crazy. I could swap turbos in the future, and adjust the cams gears ASAP, instead of wondering what I could get out of the cams if I had gears.

Most people run the 264/264 so they dont need cam gears......supposedly the 264 intake/exhaust cams idle similarly to stock. With the 272/264 combo, cam gears are recommended in order to retain a good idle and to get the most out of the cam gears.

Idle is fine with a good tune. You do not need to run cam gears. I run the 272/264 with a reflashed ECU. Car runs great. Idle is a little lopy, but that is to be expected with running a agressive cam set-up.
