RNR 50 Trim Turbo Upgrade

Hey guys I was curious if anyone out there had this kit and what they thought about it. I am thinking about this kit because its nicely priced and looks like it would be a decent power increase. I am basically looking for a kit that is under $3,000 and will give me the most bang for the buck, until I can afford a stroker/GT35R combo.

I think Evodave had this kit and is selling it if its not sold already, I believe he made 420WHP with it.

People have done very well with it. EvoDave will shoot your straight so just talk to him directly. I believe the only reason he wanted to sell it is just because it was more of a test before his big project.

The 50 trim/equal length manifold is one of my favorite for daily driven street cars.

We recently did a car with this set up that made 389whp at 21psi on 91 octane.

it's not the rnr kit.a friend here in vegas has a 50 kit that makes 442whp.i've been in the car many times.feels like full spool up in around 4500-5000.maybe a little higher.the cars a monster but it always looks like it's being held back.everytime it gets going,it seems like you have to shift.

i'll chime in on this topic, i have this kit but i ordered just a little bigger compressor wheel (60 trim). for the price compared to the other kits it's awesome!!! i have not dynoed my car yet but this kit hauls ***. spool time for mine is around 4-4200 rpm i have the standard manifold so with a 50 trim & equal length manifold i could see it sooling fairly close to stock.. people that want fast spooling & good power just simply don't get it!!!!!!!! the 50 trim will stay plenty spooled in between shifts it's a good turbo.
you can pm me if you have any questions i don't read the forums tons.

thank you that is what I was waiting for, somone that actually has the kit on the car. I am thinking about the 60 trim with equal length manifold possibly. But I would like to know with my setup when I would see full boost ya know. anyways thanks for the input.

i pretty much have the same mods you do if you rev to 7500 there is plenty of time after 4500 rpm to make good power i think you would be happy with it. 60 trim wheel is only good for about 20 to 50 more whp. the 50 trim would spool real good with a equal length manifold so unless you plan on running the turbo past 26psi the 50 trim would be good for you, the 50 trim is more effecient @ lower boost levels like 20 psi for example.

my mods are
hks 272's, 780cc injectors, custom dynoflash, afc 2, tbe, helix ic pipes, turbo xs bov, rnr 60 trim turbo kit with standard manifold.

i have to put my headstuds in & my twin disk clutch this week or next then i will probably go to the dyno & give you some race gas #'s.. although im up in slc ut so 400whp is haulin *** up here. stock evo's to fairly modded evo's are dynoing 200-300whp.

Yeah I am at 5800 ft above sea level too, feel your pain Yeah please let me know what you put down. How much do you pick up on spool going with the equal length manifold. Did you go with internal dump or external?
