My cerametallic Exedy twin makes the same noise, but not as loud as that. Does the ACT 6-puck use a organic puck?

My clutch makes that noise due to the cerametallic material. It sounds like your 6 puck is cerametallic. Which makes the sound even worse then a full disc clutch.

Welcome to the world of performance clutches.

May have just been my volume setting but that seemed alot louder then it should have been. Most of the time you get the same humming noise when the clutch engages in first and reverese. But I have only heard it on twin plate clutches and it wasnt that loud.

I have an exedy twin and it sounds just like that however not quite as loud. Its something that comes with the territory of performance clutches. Im sure in the literature that came with the clutch it explains that to you also. I know it did on my exedy.

Let out the clutch a little faster. It just takes some time to get used to.
