Who told you that at ACT? I would like to speak to them myself. I haven't heard of this noise before on the EVO using our clutch. Maybe they know something I don't know.
Have you spoken to Turbotrix to see if they have this noise? BTW, It ishouldn't have anything to do with the rigid center. What other mods do you have to the car?

do people experience sounds like that on a carbon clutch such as the ATS Carbon or Exedy Hyper Carbon Series?

 

I have never heard a clutch make that noise ever. That sounds really bad

 

i have not either... and i regularly see gt40's car which is running a triple plate carbon clutch... it rattles like a hooptie with tin cans in the back but it doesn't howl/whine/grind like that.

 

no that is not normal. a friend of mine has the act in his and it makes no noise.
