Hi all,

Will an Evo pass California smog with 272i/264e cams and cam gears?

anything is possible unless they notice you have cams

should pass just fine as long as you have a proper cat.

For your information. My evo passed with 264/272 cams with AVO turboback and ultimate hf-cat on stock turbo with dynoflash.

your car doesn't need to be smogged until 2009 anyways, so who cares? :P

I'm planning to use an xede with the vishnu 1+. I would hate to have to take them out and re-install the stock cams in 2008 when I'm due to test. Or if i sell it before then, it's good to know.
I'm looking at the GSC cams but i would think twice if I can't pass smog. Maybe switching to a different map and cam gears would be good enough to pass.
