Peak boost for 2005 Evos??

Whats the peak boost everyone getting on 2005 Evos??

I'm getting as high as 1.53 (22psi??) on my Blitz DTT turbo timer.. the same timer
was only reading about 1.39 max on my 03s... My oem sports meter boost
gauge also read about the same thing..

I know that 05 has a slightly bigger turbo housing.. but did that also change the
peak boost?? Or it's just my gauges highly inaccurate....???

For one thing... I got a very long vacuum hose route from the engine to inside
the cabin..

Any opinions from 2005 owners??

Car is completely stock... No exhaust.. No mbc/ebc... No aftermarket BOV...

The long vacuum line is from the oem sports meter boost gauge... the oem boost
gauge vacuum hose is then T'ed to add another line for the Blitz DTT.

Nice... but is that possible with completely stock car like mine?
Mine doesn't hold at that boost.. just spike to it...

A spike to 21-22psi sounds about right.

This is exactly what we saw on the WORKS MR when it was bone stock. Our P2 Brain Flash helped settle that spike (and keeps the boost from tapering ).

So this is normal?? That is so strange...
My 03 will spike over 1.35 RARELY... I mean... I have to
really "try" to get it to spike that high...
With the 05s... I can easily hit 1.50...

Must be the updated turbo housing on the 05s then?

i have a defi d-spec boost gauge and i see that my 05 spikes to about 20 psi, but i also have a hks ebc. even when it is set at 19 psi it will spike to about 20 psi the go down to about 17-18 psi. i will also hit fuel cut when it is real cold outside.

20 psi is acceptable as stock should already go up to 19.5 psi...

But 22psi?? I think it's gauge error... but both gauges are reading the samething..

I see the same problem as well w/ my 05 stock evo. I'm using the Defi boost gauge, and it spikes to 21, but drops down to a stable 19. I was wondering if this is normal as well.

Peak boost is supposed to be something like 20.5 or something. 21 should be ok without tuning for a spike.

I get the same 21 psi spike. Confirmed on a dyno and the gauge. Sounds normal to me.

when my car was stock it was boosting 1.5 bar.

After I put on a 3" test pipe and 3" cat back, I saw a spike of 1.55 bar.

Now I'm trying to set up my EBC to spike to 1.5 bar and hold as much as possible to redline.
