Your best bet would be to call a junkyard type place. I know a place in CA which a few weeks ago had a bunch of wrecked evos to part out. If you want, I will dig up that phone number for you.

Thanks silverevo8owner.

yeah sucks big time I'm definatly going to go after the gas station (Exxon) if they are not willing to pay. This is going to cost at least $5,000 and I certaintly do not have that laying around.

Pruven is pricing the whole job out for me just so I can see how much they are going to charge. I am also looking at the Buschur racing, ams, and cartboy shortblocks that are prebuilt balanced and blueprinted.

Either way I have to find a good core to supply them so I dont kill my self with the core fee. So I'm doing some research, talking to a lot of highly skilled people and people who know their ****.

So far thanks Gill (Superz), Dan at pruven, Jack (MalibuJack), Greg (GSC), and big AL (dynoflash). Right now I'm trying to find out how i'm going to pay for this crap, hopefully Exxon will be footing the bill.

*Anyone who wants to help or can help me with some parts/prices pm me or msg me on aol im*- Thanks

I'll keep you updated

Call up Buschur, may as well get a built motor, and it may as well be a Stroker

I think a fully built short block is like $3500

Yeah I think they are at the Evo vs WRX shootout right now. But if its 3500 and i dont have to supply them a core then its a great deal.

if you have that answer let me know. Thanks!

Man I just read about your problem in your other thread. Sorry to hear that.

Oh yeah and its 5100.00 from Buschur if you don't have a good core.

2.4 block?

If you are looking for a block, instead of getting one to do a core exchange, this guy has a 2.4 block for sale. Your going to have to get new internals anyways, so why not go with the biggest block you can get for an Evo.

Good luck and I hope the gas station, pays. I would definitely get it in writing from them ASAP.

nah I'm going to stay stock on that side, I thought about it but I'm just going to stick with the stock block and bore ect. Good idea but I'm not looking to go that route.

Thanks though.
