Blitz NUR Spec R Catback Exhaust

I need some help... I have been searching through many forums on catback exhausts and have gained a pretty good idea about most that are on the market. I am currently in the market for a catback and am considering the Blitz NUR Spec R exhaust. I have heard it mentioned only a few times, mostly by vendors, and like once by someone who said it was loud and that's all. (If I missed something, please forgive me as I do know how to search and very rarely start threads.) If anyone has this exhaust or knows about it, I would really appreciate some feedback.

Good power gains? Taper at the cat? Fitment? I have heard that it's supposed to be really loud, but is that with the silencer or without it? I don't want something too loud, but not too quiet either.

Thanks.

I have the Blitz NUR Spec R exhaust installed. It's very loud, I run it without the silencer. It's a full 8mm/3in exhaust. It got even louder after I installed my DC Sports Catless downpipe.
It has to be the loudest exhaust I have ever had, even in 6th gear I have to have the stereo up kind of loud to hear over the constant hum of the exhaust. I love it, but my girl friend says it gives her a headache! Fitment is perfect! I decided to go with this exhaust once I heard a sound clip from LancerRegister.com

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your response. I just can't decide what to get. Blitz may be too loud, HKS may be too quiet, Helix sits to far to the left side of the bumper... I can't really afford a Ti. Without a cat any exhaust is going to be loud, so I just may go for the Blitz, I'll just put the silencer on when daily driving. Thanks.

Anyone else have any comments on this exhaust?

I had the Blitz NUR spec on my old 240 with a sr20det and it was pretty damn loud.... fitment and over quality was very good, Blitz in general makes very high quality stuff.

The exhaust does come with a silencer but I could never run with something like that on the car.

good luck!

Greddy Evo2 exhaust is 80mm and is very quiet from what I have heard. In fact some people get rid of them to get something louder. It does have a resonator in the mid pipe and is fully stainless steel. The prices are less than $550 shipped for them. That would be the one I would get if you wanted something quiet that makes good power.

I have the TurboXS tbe and it is very nice quality and fitment. Sounds nice and deep but not too loud. It comes out at an angle like the HKS.

It tapers to the same size as the stock cat. It's not a full 80mm all the way back.

I don't believe this to be true. I have it installed on my car. I will try and take some pictures once it stops raining. I have a DC Sports Down pipe which is a full 3 inch pipe, and it match’s up to the Blitz Nur Spec perfectly, which leads me to believe that it is a full 3inch pipe. Where the exhaust connects to the down pipe it is the same exact size and doesn't taper.
