I like my VDO, they look OEM, and are effective.

Dont waste your money on an A/F gauge, totally useless.

Check out 42draftdesigns.com for a nice selection.

Electronic are usually a little more accurate. However they are expensive, and when they break, it sucks to have to shell out another 200-300 bucks for just a gauge.

The Defi electronic gauges are very nice....a lot of people use the BF series. There are some other nice electronic ones out there but Defi is the cream of the crop.

As far as mechanical goes...a lot of people use the Defi also...but I heard they have a lot of accuracy problems....especially the boost gauge. Personally Im staying away from the defi mechanicals.

For the most part you get what you pay for. So just pick a reputable company and it will work out.

I have Defi gauages and I love them, the fact is that they were and still are expensive, but I don't regret spending this kind of a money on a very nice product.

They're definitely sweeter looking, but the Nexus are way more expensive than DEFI Black faced series..

Electronic gauges use a sending unit under the hood and you just run wires through the firewall to the gauge. Mechanical gauges have to have the source (vacuum line, oil line, fuel line, etc.) ran straight to the gauge. If you are dealing with a liquid like fuel or oil, you probably want an electronic gauge so you dont have to worry about it leaking inside the car.

defi or a high name gauge if you have some cash. Then autometer works just fine for decent money.
