"The [Forge DV] kit comes with a variety of springs. I use the heaviest spring in the kit and was very happy with the performance of the valve. I have it on my RS. The car with the lightest spring had some serious driveability problems, surged like made. With the heavy spring I find it to be very smooth.

Sounds completely backwards to me [stiffer spring causing less surge], but what do I know.

The stiffer the spring the more surge you will get. Also, the stiffer you go the worst driveability becomes (stalling, low RPM on idle). I have ran the yellow spring, no shims, at 23 psi w/no issues. When I installed the red spring, for high boost runs w/ the 3076, my idle dropped and I even had some stalling.

Yellow spring is good.
