just wanted to see which valve springs people were using with their 272 cams!
stock or ferrea

your engine will be sounder/stronger!
less vibration at high rpm! think of a bov with a hard spring vs and soft spring!
my guess is more ft! more rev potential eg 9000+ without any harm!
visit tomei's web page and read up!
they even sell complete engines! they make the buddy club cams i plan on getting because their pon cam are too agressive for me!

You dont need them. Theres tons of other things you could spend the money on. Springs and retainers arent even necessary until far far down the road.

^^ just like he said.....nit necessary unless u have a drag car and rev over 8,000 RPM constantly. Ferreas are a lot of $$$ and its gonna cost a lot to install, so hold off on those until u decide to rebuild your engine.

enough said! my exact opinion and reason for starting this th...
the stock ones are strong enough to work with eeven 280's!

I think I remember Dave Buschur posting that springs and retainers are nice to have to keep the boost from falling off as much.
