Forcefed vs Nisei
Forcefed vs Nisei
I am going to buy an intercooler in the next few days and with all my knowledge about our EVOs I still can't make up my mind regarding which intercooler I should go with. I called both vendors today and both took their time and explained in detail about both intercoolers. They both have great customer service. Now, which one should I get? Nisei is cheaper (much cheaper) but it does not retain the under tray which I want to keep, it has huge core and power numbers are proven with that IC from many member here including Tedb. The only issue that I see and I might be wrong is why are the end tanks so low (not a bit higher in the core)?
Forcefed has an intercooler that retains our stock undertray with out cutting anything. It has huge core too and it’s made by spearco. It looks amazing and it will fit just like stock. However its $300 more than Nisei.
I am lost please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

nisei... why? local, cheaper, it's been proven, support is a phone call away or a nice city drive their... on top of that... they will be coming out with a replacement and even more functional undertray to coincide with the intercooler
Hello,
Our intercooler is on sale for $895.00. Please drop me a line if you want one. Thanks.

Depends if you are going for power or cheap... you always gotta sacrafice one or the other. I'd go with the Nisei for the juice gain...just because it's conveient doesn't mean it's better.

hey azbar... I have the greddy v-spec intercooler..i freakin love it! plus it comes with the lower piping. and fits like stock. plus its under 750 bucks...sorry, thought id chime in on that since we have the same turbo kit

BR is great but I have seen it on many cars and it sits closer on one side than the other. I cant have something in front of my car that is not symmetrical
. Forcefed intercooler is the same as Spearco, which has the best core. AMS has great IC but I am not a big fan of cutting my under tray
. I am still thinking about all these options. I heard that they are redesigning their intercooler too!!Either I get an intercooler or I get new front rotors and SS lines for my race next month will see.
Perrin makes the only TRUE bolt in I/C meaning everything is retained & it's the only DOT approved one. as far as I/C's go, u need to look for one with the most flow in CFM's & base it on YOUR turbo application so you don't experience pressure drop...

What you see on the outside isn't everything. What really matters is what's inside (yeah, it doesnt just apply to ugly chicks). What type of internal fin is used? The Nisei intercooler uses a split internal fin which gives the intercooler more exposure to air it needs to cool. As much contact as possible with the internal fins as it passes through is what will cool the air effectively. I can't tell you how many cores we've examined that look "cool" on the outside but the inside is a simple extruded tube (where the tube is cast with fins on it....and it's truly a TUBE because air literally passes right through it with minimal cooling!), or a straight square, or even bump fin. (you can learn more about this on our flash tutorial found here: http://www.niseiengineering.com/imag...erTutorial.swf.
In addition, if the ForcedFed intercooler is the same Spearco intercooler i know about (attached below), then it has a 8 FPI (fin per inch) count with 17 rows and a 24x11.5x3.5 core size. This allows a 276 square inch area on the surface while the Nisei boast a 315.5 square inch surface area. Believe me we've tested and thoroughly examined the competition with goal to be the best on the market. If you do the math, the Nisei will have more cooling power than the rest. I can say this with confidence because numbers wont lie. I invite anyone to test out the Nisei intercooler under their own criteria, we know everything about what we make and sell. The way we figure, why buy something from someone that cant tell you everything you want to know?
Good luck with your shopping! Call us if you have any questions.Rob
