So.....what about mating a 2.3 to a milder turbo setup? All you hear about is a 2.3 with a GT35. Why not a balance? Stroker to spool and a turbo that is NOT the size of a frickin' watermelon.

I.E Not stock with trimmings.....something a bit bigger. I get sonfused with the alphabet soup of turbo sizes...20g, 3071, 3075, blah blah blah..

Ive thought about this too, but thing is, most people who have strokers are running race gas and such and when running high levels of boost, the GT35R cannot be beat! However, pump gas on a stroker, I think a turbo like 3071 would be amazing!

Actually, no that's not good enough. Hard numbers on a dyno sheet are always better than "there's a guy in Texas" BS.

It would be really cool if you could get him to post his performance numbers.

Umm, Einstein, do a freakin' search if you're really interested. I don't feel like doing your work for you. This isn't BS. There were many posts on this particular subject and his set-up. I don't know what his numbers are. Perhaps you'd prefer the numbers over the video he posted passing said Porsche.

When you say he passed it you mean the Porsche was stopped right. I only say so because its some sort of fluke a WR EVO passed a 600HP 3000lb Porsche GT.

Hey toughguy, it's all good. Just looking for info (real info...no BS) like the rest of us. I actually came up with the idea in my head yesterday..... long after many others did. It seems to make sense and I will do a freakin' search. This thread seems to have promise for a good stroker/turbo combo.

Thanks for your positive contribution

I think you are on to something good. The "sreetability factor" has got to be stunning. It would be like having stock like spool and the topend to match. I suppose a good deal of homework would need to be done in choosing the best turbo. This suits my driving the best as I rarely go to the track.

It was an Evo with a 2.3 stoker. Hey, all I know is what the guy posted along with a vid. No the GT wasn't stopped he was WOT. THe Evo driver has also been driving for many years. No idea on the GT driver.

Is that more positive

Me too. I want that turbo. Maybe even a stroker with a 50trim. that would be a monster.
