need some help.. only running 4 - 5 lbs boost

ok for the past month or so iv been haveing issues with boost slowly droping more and more .. so what iv done / found so far is

found a rip in the diaphram in my greddy type - s bov couldnt easly go with a repair so.. i replaced it with a 1g bov. holds boost great did a preasure test had a small leak around the throtel bodie i couldnt find didnt worry about it.. boost seemed to hold better was all happy

few days later boost started falling again dont know why.. nothing changed i tryed changeing settings with avc - r tryn to pump the boost up worked kinda but shortly after stoped

today i said screw it went to dsm told them what was up they said to try a mbc so i got it and still not holding boost did a nother preasure test finaly found the leak when i went to pull the vacume line off it actually broke in my hand i was like wow YES found my issue ( preasure tested again no leaks that i can hear or feel any where )

put new vacume line on with mbc now and still not boosting over 3 or so psi

sorry for long storie

i tryed every combo of vacume hose' that i could with wastegate turboside nipple and bov line does not matter still cant boost.

need some help on what to do next i dont think it was any thing i did i only have about 500 miles till my warrnty expires with mitsubishi should i take it back and say fix it and if its something i broke ill pay im starting not to care any more i just want boost back cuz i feel like im driveing a normal 4banger and it sucks

any one have test or something i can do.. for the waste gate or something else i can try

and i dont know if this is related i keep getting a 0420 check engin light mitsu is telln me its a bad cat code so on the 10th they say they are going to replace hopefully to fix the light

Sounds like the wastegate is open. Maybe damaged or broken actuator rod. To only get 3 psi (if gauge is accurate) it would almost have to be the wastegate. Wastegate running on spring pressure alone is 11-12 psi so it sounds like it is open or not connected to the actuator.

An easy testyou can try is to disconnect the hose that goes to the wastegate actuator.
Very carefully drive the car and bring on the boost. If you still don't go past 3 psi then the wastegate or actuator is screwed up. If you have boost again then it is boost control problem.

ok.. got to the waste gate flap and it moves freelly.. so that means its the activator the gold thing that goes to the wastegate flap? when i took the bar off the flap the bar went back in.

is that normal? or was it just stuck out ?

There is a spring in the actuator, you can't move it easily. If you can move the actuator arm easily then it is no good.

Okay that's normal. Did you try moving the rod and putting your finger over the pot to see if it holds? Have you tried driving it withthe vacuum hose off?
