Trying to put the stock cat back on.... what's the direction the studs go towards downpipe or catback?

One of the dealer pictures I saw shows studs going into catback and then bolts and nuts to the downpipe. I already figured out triangle part is up and flat part is bottom but direction is still a bit confusing

 

Studs away from downpipe(towards muffler)

 

It can only go on 1 direction.
The bolts go in through from the front of the car.
