Intake air flow problems? stumbling?

Ok, So as you can see by my mods below, I have somewhat of a beast...lol I've been running the stock intake piping with an aem air filter and a greddy type-s w/ single spring mod, for quite some time now, and no problems WHATSOEVER. I purchase the injen upper i/c w/ intake the other day and finally installed it. Now I'm getting lower idle and almost stalling once in awhile. I checked everything. Everything is tight as a **** cause I used T-Bolts (really nice) no leaks anywhere..I checked a million times. Why is it when I put an intake on it does this? Do i just have to get a tune now that I have the upper i/c pipe and metal intake instead of the rubber one I had?...either way, ive been running an open cone filter, just different tubing. I'm thinking its just a tune I need for adding this? Help! Why am I having lower idle and almost stalling after this install?

Thanks in advance.

It's the damn filter that Injen ships out.. I can't tell you what causes it but if you have an old filter/adaptor set from an old intake you had, just swap that out and leave all the piping alone. Almost anything different will be much better...

but i had the same issue when I had the aem full intake, then I just put on the stock rubber piping with the aem adapter and filter and no problems, but Id hate to go back to the stock piping sinsce I just bought this whole setup. Is there anything that a tune to my piggyback would fix? anyone?

I know every EVO is different but I've never had this problem with my Injen intake.

What I'm gonna do is, up the idle a bit...its idiling around 800-900. Since I have the big cams and injectors and never mesed with the idling, I should prolly do it now, Im sure that will take care of the almost stalling, lower idle problems. I'll try that and see what happens
