2nd gear!

well i took my car out tonight and shifted faster than usually at a higher rpm and from first to second when i release the clutch, it seems like it grabs real quick and jerks, its not smooth at all. 2nd to 3rd is smooth though. it feels like a real sudden grab in 2nd and doesnt feel right.

id have those synchros looked at.. and since your at 24000 id think about replacing the clutch while you have the tranny out.... btw a new tranny will cost 2300.....but if it was from a dealer is should be warrentied

When I first got my car, it grinded from first to second while shifting fast in high rpms. I changed to bg synchromesh and it helped alot with the grinding but it still happened once in a while. I decided to just take it easy while shifting from first to second and save my synchros.

It sounds like you're just not properly speed matching your shifts. 1st to 2nd geat has a different ratio than 2nd to 3rd. You'll want to watch your RPM's and learn where optimal clutch release is for each gear, so that as the revs are falling during the shift, you release the clutch to match up with where your engine will be spinning for the proper wheel speed.
