I love my RMR short intake. I've had it on my car for 2 years. All I do is clean it every 10k miles with a k&n cleaner kit.
If money is no issue, the ARC is cool and the HKS RS (I just don't like that it doesn't filter out as much stuff).
RMR is cheap and highly effective.

I got my Injen from Logic Performance. Great customer service. Chris is awesome to deal with.

The Injen comes with the upper intercooler pipe which is nice.

Thumbs up

the stock airbox w/a k&n drop in is good for 400whp. you could have the best of both worlds by getting the HKS Kansai CF airbox which allows you to run an aftermarket short ram inside it...

Drop in the HKS panel filter into the stock box. A buddy of mine will have one for sale sometime this week if you are interested...

ALright
I found that HKS box and I am definently getting it. I was looking at the Weapon R Secret Weapon Intake. Who thinks that would be good. Or should I go with a HKS intake or a K&N.

OK, here is an experienced opinion... for those having idle, stumbling, stalling issues with your 272's... put your OE MAF pipe back on. 272's on OE cam gears with an OE flash, idle ok with the OE MAF pipe... and idle really damn well with a little tuning on the OE MAF pipe. Without going into detail, the OE "corrugated" MAF pipe helps keep intake reversion from affecting the MAF signal where a nice flowing aftermarket smooth one doesn't... which can cause many of the problems in your complaints. Of course the aftermarket pipes "make power", and can be "tuned around", but don't take my word for it... try it!

sorry but I think that is just short sighted and a good quote to get pps to buy their crap. DSMers have been modding the car for 10+ years with intakes.. preferably the K&N and all it takes is a LITTLE tuning if any at all to make it smooth. Otherwise you get a small lumpy idle.

If you are modding your car that air box needs to go and quick. Buschurracing.com sells the K&N FIPK with a aem pipe and shield for $205. This is what you pps with a stock airbox should be looking at. The $50 K&N filter that you can get from pep boys is a waste of money. Keeping the stock air box is just dumb and if you still dont think so, goto a DSM meet or write david buschur.

Without cams, a smooth MAF pipe should be fine, don't you think?

Dont know wtf that is.. a HKS CF AIR BOX with a intake inside it? for $400? In my xp get the K&N or a similiar intake.. the buschur one for example...

$205 gets you the intake and shield with the pipe from Road/race. That leaves you with $195 ? Save it up and look at getting the SAFC or exhaust next.

oh, and I wouldnt remoe the honeycomb from the maf unless you want idle surge or can get the SAFC at the same time.

PREVIOUS POST ITS ON ROADRACEENGINEERING.COM not buschur sorry guys.
