Torn CV Boot?

Anyone have this happen to them? Passenger side inner boot looks twisted and of course grease every where!! Wondering how much $$ if Mitsu refuses to pick it up under warranty

My Mitsu Guy asked if I have modded my car

if you get them to fix it .. it will cost you 300-400 since they dont do boots they make you buy a new axle.

yeah, this happened to me, mitsu covered mine under warranty. they invoice said it would have been around like 840 or so. cause mine tore and broke the axle in half cause it was torn for awhile and got rocks and dirt up in there and eventually broke it. Mitsu said because my car was lowered that they can't do anything about it. Then 2 days later I go to pick up my car and its done, and they covered it under warranty. The tech I spoke with said that he looked at my camber and the camber of another lancer and mine was still stock and because I didn't change the camber he'd cover it. He said if mitsu corporate doesn't refund him the money for fixing it under warranty, then the dealership would just be out that money and they'd have one happy customer.

Dealer covered it under warranty, not sure if mitsu refunded money to dealer or not.

Now that dealer is no longer selling mitsu, only toyota.

Mitsu wants to look at it for evaluation; Well, I ahve Ohlins C/O's and Works Camber Plates with -2 camber up front

If not covered:
$60 Boot
$170 labor

We'll see
