Question Vibration in front left wheel after drivers education day

On the second day of a DE, my car started acting funny, the front left wheel felt almost as if I had flat-spotted it, which I hadn't, I never locked the brakes. It went away, and I wrote it off to track debris.

The next time out on the second lap it started again, a vibration that's strongest on right-hand turns, like the tire is flat-spotted, and to a lesser degree on left-hand turns. The car is fine under straight-line braking and acceleration. The symptoms seem to only exibit under quite a bit of corner load, and when the car is warmed up.

I checked the lug nuts with a torque wrench, still all tight, not the problem. Grabbing and shaking on the wheel seems like there might be about 1mm of play that isn't on the right-hand side wheel. Bummed me out because I had to retire with 2 sessions still left the weekend. Car drove the 20 minutes home on the Interstate with no problem.

So my guess is bearings or CV joint. Anyone ever have anything like this happen? By the way, this is the first time my car has ever seen a track, it's never even been autocrossed before.

Oh, and DE was amazingly fun! Anyone who owns an Evo should do one.
