I am not sure about this alky setup, I was told use it for a upgraded turbo, no real use with stock turbo. Is this true? what does the alky do to a stock Turbo? any gains? I like the spoolup on the stock turbo, my life doesnt begin at 4800-5500 Rpm, however I would like the oomph when the turbo "kicks in", but besides drag-racing, how much time will you expierence the OOMPH on the street or track racing? A big turbo is great for trap speeds and Drag-racing, but I dont think the abuse would be worth the coin. I Pretty much have all but the turbo, and was thinking on an AMS head-work and rods/pistons, but dont know what turbo can have stock spool but more HP. Bushur 500 or 440. If this has been talked too much already, tell me where to look for the best choice. I think Ludikrauts research will help me decide, any other input?

 

well AL just dyno's a stg4 buschur , buschur flash , and alky @ 388whp 419 tq all on the stock turbo

 

Who did you buy the turbo kit from? Didn't they tell you about it and how it works?

you can even reach 400whp on the stock turbo doing the right supporting mods and you know how fast that spools... I have the alky set @ 13psi( when it starts to spray) and max setting is 25.. My spool goes to 23 and stays 21-22.. you deff feel the kick in the pants with the alky set low.. if you dont want to use it all the time set it at 20 and just dont hit 20 ..

Alky/Methanol injection on any boost application is very beneficial. As far as our stock turbos, you can increase the boost spike dramatically with the methanol and produce much more power... and depending on your supporting mods and tune, you can hold that boost spike for quite awhile before it tapers. I'd highly recommend Buschur's alky/methanol kit with the stock turbo. I'm even making more torque than a lot of upgraded turbo Evos.
