How much on average to install Stroker kit?

Hey all,

Just wondering, how much do shops charge on average to install a stroker kit? (say ams 2.3L stroker kit)

I know most people get it done with other stuff at the same time, but i'm looking to get a turbo upgrade first, and then down the road getting a stroker kit. But i heard its a LOTTT of money to install a stroker kit.

So im just wondering about how much.

thanks in advance!

najeeb its pretty much an engine build, gotta take off the head, drop the pan, you can keep the block in-car and do it, but for all the work you should take the motor out and have it bored .020 over to ensure a clean straight cylinder wall.

Can you tell me how to swap the crank out without taking the clutch off? You also have to clearance the block for the rods.

Does any body do rods+pistons with the block still in car?

najeeb I think there are a couple of threads on install prices. I don't think it's too much more for the stroker than a normal buildup.

Well in this case for a stroker since your changing the crank then yes it has to come out of the car. And yes people actually do piston and rod upgrades with the block in the car because its alot easier then taking everything out
