What a bunch of *******s. I can't believe they could take this long when they're replacing your whole tranny under warranty. Unbelievable. Sarcasm off.

where'd warrtalon go? to chime in on my dealer, although I have not done any work as of yet, my service rep told me I could do lot like exhaust and piping. if i touch the fuel it ruins all of my warranties. if i break open the engine it voids it. i think that is extremely fair. the mods that void it are ones that can cause a problem if not tuned right so it makes sense. he said "a lot" and i know you 400 whp guys are saying that it's not a lot, but for a daily driver it is.

ok, FINALLY got my car back today, somethings wrong are that the idiots forgot to put my undertray back on, and theres some severe scratches under the hood on the fender area, nothing that means much, but its the fact that a mitsu dealer did this and didnt tell me so im gonna make them pay. As for the syncros, it shifts smooth, but sometimes reverse wont go in like its a lockout or something, but seems normalto me because it'll engage sometimes. Overall its fine. I will scan the work order as i stated i would tomorrow afternoon.

this seems like a good post to ask this question, I am getting my syncros replaced at 7000 miles. Is this a problem that will come back soon? Is there any aftermarket parts that can avoid these syncros going bad? After my warranty is up i don't want this to happen as many of you know the cost to do this repair. Any input or comments on your syncros would be great.

Ralli, I really hope they know what they are doing. Make sure they adjust the clutch the way an ACT or whatever you've got needs to be adjusted, not factory spec adjustments. Caused me a ton of headaches. As for the tranny....well they did an OK job....but wasn't 100% happy with the end results. Best of luck to you.

Can you give us another update on the new synchros now that you've had it longer? Seems like most people who have their transmission worked on have more problems after.

I had mine replaced by Mitsu and about 5K miles later or so the 5th gear grind was back and 4th started to grind shortly after that, but of course they wont warranty it now since I had a ACT clutch installed (by them) They suck, they wanted $800 to tear it down, blah, blah and if it was my fault (which they would make it regardless) I would owe them at least the $800 so I said screw it and im having TRE rebuild my tranny, for about the same price.

My advice is, if you have Mitsu replace your syncros, keep the stock clutch if you want to kepp your tranny warranty.
