any difference in 03 and 04 turbos?

there is no difference between the two

but the new 9 coming out has a bigger turbo thats my 2 cents

Some of the late 04 models got the 10.5 cm^2 hotside (like all the 05s), but I wasn't aware the IX was getting a bigger turbo. Are you sure about that? I thought it was just getting MIVEC, which results in a 10hp gain (at least on paper).

I bought my car in October of 04. I was going to buy the 10.5 hotside but if I already have one don't want to waste the $300 bucks. Do I have one?

Honestly, I'm not sure, and I don't know how to tell by visual inspection. I'm SURE that some on here know, though. Maybe you could make a thread asking how to tell by visual inspection after doing a forum search, of course.
