Man, the dealer wants $300 plus for a new front o2 sensor. I pulled it out and its a regular Denso unit. Why cant i buy a generic Denso unit and solder it onto my harness. Anyone done this????

I bought one from them a while ago as I cut the wires on mine on the sensor by mistake They don't have it listed on their website but send them a message and they can order one for you. I only paid $162 for it, which was a lot cheaper than what my dealership wanted. The reason I didn't just buy a universal O2 sensor was because I didn't know how high a voltage/current the ECU would accept. Send too much and you may end up blowing fuses or worse, blowing your ECU! Better safe than sorry.
