Redline Q?
Redline Q?
whoever got dyno tune....
at what rpm the power curve falls down?
mine drops at around 7100rpm.
no more power after 7100rpm eventhough my redline is 7800rpm. why????????????????????????????????

It's natural for the power to start declining after 7k rpm, because you run out of breath (cams or turbo dependent). If you have a bigger turbo and cams, then it would probably mean you are not tuned well at such a high rpm (detonate or rich = knock = pulled timing = less hp).

if i remember correctly, all 03-05 EVO's have a fuel cut at 7404RPM. with cams, headbolts, valve springs, retainers, & a good flash or standalone, the motor will rev to 9K safely. stock turbo will still run out of steam though. with my base dynoflash, i am able to shift to 8K but i choose not to go over 7800 since that stretches the stock headbolts. even on stock cams & 101 unleaded, the motor just keeps pulling & strong too with 16 degrees timing in gears 3 & 4. a new dyno graph is coming soon.

No, you can't change that without voiding warranty. Cams will also get you voided pretty quick most likely. And to clarify, things like this don't necessarily "void" your warranty, but they probably will get it "restricted," which is basically what you mean. The result is that they won't cover a lot of stuf that could/would go wrong with the powertrain (engine/tranny). They would still cover stuff like a bad o2 sensor or faulty power steering pump (just examples).

basically inorder to get more power it is like they said all about breath. one way to increase that is to get exhaust mods to free up the flow. I noticed especially with my mods once I got cams my power peaked at 7k for the most part and fell off very slowly about 8whp between 7-8k. In order for me to get more power up top I would need a bigger turbo, but with a bigger turbo you loose your low end power in sacrifice for top end. I'm currently going to get my exhaust manafold and 02 housing jet coated and ported, and maybe some intercoolerpiping will help also with that. My rev limiter is currently at 8k.
