its a Greddy Type -S one spring conversion...i think its from the bov being backwards and throwing all the air back in a spinging the turbo backwards and the fin or the turbine fins bent

If you want to drive an hour down to Mount Laurel I will look at it and tell you what is wrong with it. If your interested we can set something up, it's an hour drive.

The ultimate test for boost though is to remove the hose from the wastegate and carefully drive the car up to boost and see what you get. The wastegate is opened by presure and if you remove the hose it will not open so you will have plenty of boost if it exists. This is why I said to drive it carefully.
There is a procedure to do this in the service manual to check for boost by eliminating all the boost controls.

Unhappy Help???

I'm having a similar problem with my EVO boost, if I accelerate slowly in lower RPM's, the boost is fine, as I get on it, its sounds like the turbo is over spooling, but I loose a lot of power. My gauge reads 1.5 bar, then drops to around .5. Also if I shift into any gear from a higher RPM, it looses all boost. Not sure if it is a leak or wastegate??? Any help would be appreciated....
