jet fuel? in a evo
100 low lead? in a evo
Well i was just wondering, a friend of mine runs it in his supra allot. Its called 100 low lead its not unleaded which makes me think twice about it. You can get it at personal air ports. Gas prices for 93octain are around $2.35 100 low lead is about $2.99
i have ran 100 unleaded which i can get down the street from me but its $6.99 a gallon and the car loves it but my wallet doesnt
. so if i can get a few honest opinions that would be great thanks

keep in mind, running leaded fuel will require you to change your O2 sensors at intervals of every 50 hours driving time. check my post in the west region about 109 octane unleaded if you need a fuel alternative that is safe for your car.

Av gas? Everyone uses it down here (MIAMI), from stangs to porsche twin turbos heck i used it a couple of times on my eclipse, But remember to mix it with 93, 50 hours driving? Maybe on 100% 100Oct it will kill ur oxygen sensors, i heard by itself it could kill ur fuel pump because of the lack of lubricans and additives, But i know of a lot of ppl using it on a weekly basis, Mixed with 93oct that is. Its the only close gas staion around here with anything higher than 93 unless you buy c16 $$$$$ from any local shop...

100 low lead is low lead by avgas standards, but not by car standards. dont let that fool you.---Aircraft Tech but lyou can run it. I used to do it sometimes in my 83 280zx and never encountered any probs.....that car had no cat though.
I run Sunoco GT 100 all day, every day with no problems (yet). No cat so no worries...O2 sensor(s)? No worries...easy enough to replace if necesary. If you are driving an Evo, then toss practicality out the window...otherwise trade it in on a hybrid and go hug a F*ckin tree!

by the way 100Low Lead is avgas. meant for piston powered aircraft engines that are aircooled, run on carbs, have no cats, Avgas is not to be mistaken with jet fuel which is really close to kerosine or diesel. The lead it conatins is tetra-ethyl lead, i think around 3.5ppm. It is a blue color. 100 octane avgas is red in color and has around 7ppm TEL content. I dont work with piston powered aircraft so the lead content numbers may be off but I am sure its close.
