Inlet temp

Hi,

I know many of you are using logging in some way, what inlet temp do you get if you do a run 1-4 gears max power? (After IC)
(And how much boost/hp do you have?)

thanks

Well as you know the colder the better. All I can say is if you are looking for an efficiency test when you jump on the boost your inlet temps should go down, otherwise you are heat soaking the IC. For example today it was about 85+ out side. Drive about 65 down the highway my inlet temps where about 110+ degrees or so. I jumped on the boost and then drop into the 90's and didn't go up. That is the AMS FMIC hard at work for ya. My inlet temp sensor is right before the throttle body and I logged with the AEM running 19-20 psi on pump gas GT3076 turbo.

Hi

If your inlet temp is @ 110 while cruising @ 65mph, when you get on it and redline gears 3&4 shouldn't your temp go up? I've never seen inlet temp droping.
Just making sure.

Thanks

They will go up if you are not in the efficency range of your turbo or if your IC getting some heat soak. When the turbo spools up it should compress the air and make it more dense at cooler temps in the air with a proper setup. You should see them drop first before they go up but they should never go up past the normal inlet temp.

If you are running the stock FMIC in warmer weather you won't. It heat soaks and isn't very good at anything over 20 psi in weather over 80 degress.

WELL I just looked at your mod list and I doubt it is stock. Are they are rising severly? Examples.

In that case something might be wrong.

Ok here is a 3rd gear pull I just made. The first image will show temps at 98.69 degress intake temp. The next image in boost will show 93.20 in 3rd gear at 5371rpm. The pull goes up to about 95 degress at the end or so but that is it. The temp was 85+ degress.

After look at where you live it could have some affect on what you are seeing too so I honestly can't speak for that since I live in missouri. Humidity is high though, today was proably 80-90% if I had to guess.
