"Perfect" Downpipe?

ok ok, theres millions of threads, but i just want a straight forward answer to my questions. i want to know the best performing 3" dp that requires NO modification whatsoever. i.e. not clearing the lower tie bar, doesnt use stock hangars..ect. and where to get it, thanks!

I have the Espelier Stainless Steel 2.75" and no clearance issues whatsoever and even have room to spare:

OMG! It's only 2.75" diameter! ¡Que horríble! Yeah, you will be limited to about 600 hp with "only" a 2.75" down pipe. But hey, it nicely fits all EVOs including MR and '05s and newer cars with active center differentials. We figured that was the important part.

the RS*R stainless model includes a cat delete. From what I've read the install is pretty straight forward. I'll let you know when mine comes in...

i have the rs-r. keep in mind that it has no provision for o2 sensors in it so you are forced to use an o2 sim. also 80mm=3.15" which tapers to 75mm=2.95" where it meets the rest of the exhaust.

Jspeed downpipe is by far the BESt downpipe if you plan on keeping your stock turbo...replaces the O2 housing and everything ...full 80mm pipe....sick quality I have seen this in person. If I wasnt planning on upgrading the turbo I would def have one of these. Its pricey but if you think about it its a downpipe and an O2 housing together so if you combine the price of both its about right.

+1

I have the same. I've had it for about 7 months and not a single issue. Plus, no need to buy a cat delete later.

I like that one. But, I wonder if that cracks since it isn't the cast o2 housing.

You cant run a high flow cat or stock cat with either the RSR or the DC Sports. That is the only downside to them. So to do emissions testing or to be enviornmentally conscious, you cant run either one of those. If it wasnt for that fact I would probably get one of those. There are pleny of downpipes that work well that arent 3".

Perfect downpipe IMO should be:

3" diameter
Works with test pipe OR high flow cat or stock cat
Uses stock donut gasket
Requires no spacers of any sort
No rubbing on cross member or lower arm bars
Uses stock hangers
Doesnt cost and arm and leg.

That is what I would like to find. I think this is what the original poster is looking for also. Correct me if I am wrong.

If you know one that meets this criteria, please post up...

From what I hear as well, the Works downpipe is the best.
