I would think that this would melt the plastic undertray considering how high up the exhaust comes out from the O2 housing.

I was just joking. Melting the plastic under tray is the least of your worries. Sucking all that exhaust into the cabin and passing out would be the worst part.

I've done it before, I got tired of taking the exhaust apart so I just got a manual cutout.
