Pix will be here in 1-2 hours, it looks pretty tight, 4.5 seconds from open to fully closed, can set the "flapper" at any interval inbetween.

Dont be sorry Ultraflip, It doesnt matter who did it first, it was just a inquiry as if anyone did it yet, and if they ran into problems, thats all

While I am waiting for the pictures to download, I can tell you my feelings about this set up! At idle, it sounds like someones lawnmower, but as you stomp on the gas.....wwwweeeee! what a rush! the sound is loud and MEAN! it is not a "direct" dump off the down-pipe, so the sound is not that annoying, but it sounds like some one kicked the hell out of a hornets nest, JUST PLAIN "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!" MEAN. The best part of it, is you can open it in little increments, 1/8 open, 1/4 open etc. so YOU control the sound, sweet set-up. is it faster? well it "feels" faster, maybe I am getting cought up in the increasing noise, but it feels faster. I will be getting my 280 cams/AMS alky kit/TME turbo put in tomorrow at Family-North (stop by) and then I will trailer it to Andrew at Dyno4mance on July 2nd, If you want a "test" drive, stop by either place! Anyway, I will dyno out the "back" and out the "side" to see if actually there is a "gain". There is definetly a GAIN on my smile, so its staying even if it Loses power. I now have a "template" if you guys want one to make your own, or I can get my neighbor to make you one. just PM me.

To fill you in and answer a few questions you might have, the ONLY pipe of my RMR exhaust I had to sacrifice was the "cat-delete" pipe,($100.00) you can see where the Quicktimeperformance "Y" pipe is welded into, you also see (2) O2 sensors, which are the stock one, and the one for my AEM UEGO guage. The pipe from the electric valve, to the tip of the exhaust, (where it comes out of the body work) will be replaced by a mandrel bent one, you can see in one photo, the mild bend in the pipe. The acute observer (besides Ludi) would notice that there is 1 valve, which closes the side-pipe, what happens when you open that valve? you have 2 pipes for the air to exit, (the rear) and the side pipe. There is an overlap, but the air will exit at the point of least resistance, which is the side pipe. If I where to guess, 90% of the air escapes out the side, while the rest out the tailpipe. Any other questions, fire away!

Engine is done. Turbo kit is finally going on today. They (AMS) finally got it back from the hi temp coating place after initially running into problems with their original coater. I'm also having some custom fabrication done to the front bumper support to accomodate integrated brake ducts, and I'm converting the Vishnu signature exhaust into a true v-band clamp exhaust, so that I can easily swap in the test pipe at the track ... should be sweet. Keeping my fingers crossed that we will be ready to tune Monday or Tuesday. I will definitely be recording the sound of my Evo revving to 9K ...

Interesting exhaust. I bet it sounds awesome, but I will be surprised if it gains significant (more than 3whp) on a dyno. Gotta give you mad props for trying out new ideas, though. I've been working on my Evo off and on for the last 6 weeks, and I have sooo many ideas of what I want to do. I just don't have the time, nor the fabrication skillz at this point in time to realize most of them, though.
