Problem with ur test pipe & CEL

For some reason i'm getting a CEL light with my test pipe. A lot of people say that they have no problems with it so who knows. Keep in mind that i did not install it so i don't know what the hell is gonig on under my evo. Any pointers on what could be the problem ?

0420 code with high flow cat or test pipe. Do a search for different solutions.

I know the UR says you do not need a CEL eliminator with their Cat-delete pipe but I put one on anyway with mine. I have had the UR cat-delete pipe for over a year now with the O2 eliminator with no CEL light. They are pretty cheap and easy to install. That will fix your problem.

Why? He doesn't need a lame o2 eliminator.

You have to cut the wires and extend the o2 sensor and put it in the supplied bung that UR has on there TP. Then use that nut that came on it and put it in the hole where the stock location was.

I have had mine on for a year and a half and no problems. My roommates dad is a mechanic and said it was a waste of time ot move it, but then we moved it and poof no cel.

People think that the bung there with the bolt is what keept it from going off just leaving it like that but you have to extend your sensor with the supplied wire.

I'am almost certain that my mecanic did not ran the o2 sensor to the bung on the test pipe, if he didn't i swear i'll hit him with the cat on his head. Man i tell you you never know. Still i'am kind of a newbie so if you guys can take me step by step i'll appreciate it. You take out the o2 sensor form were exactly ? The catback or were else, sorry for the stupid question

No CEL here either. I didn't cut my wires, I just slowly pull them out until they reached. Make sure you rear O2 sensor is in the test pipe and not in the catback portion.

i put my perrin test pipe on and had no problems with it for the first few days. then i got a cel and i kept driving around with it on. the only down side was that my car literaly drank gas. i went through a full tank, not even cracking into it that much, in 140 miles. so i put on the o2 simulator and cleared the cel. now everything is working perfectly. my test pipe didn't come with a bung for the o2 sensor. it was in my hks hi power exhaust.

He doesn't need one because the UR test pipe has a built in fix guaranteed by the manufacturer.

The UR test pipe has a bung on the test pipe for the rear O2 sensor which eliminates the need for an additional fix.

ok but how does this deal with the fact that the sensor is sending a diff voltage to the computer, telling the computer there is no cat...
